 Recycling Facilities

Around College:

Paper/cardboard Green bags in rooms, bin in Porters' Lodge.  
Drinks cans/ metal

Bins in hall, bar, JCR/TV room and outside some gyp rooms

Plastic bottles Bins in hall, bar, JCR/TV room and outside some gyp rooms
Batteries Porter's lodge
Printer cartridges Porter's lodge

Back of College (under New Court):

With the exception of batteries and printer cartridges, everything that can be recycled in college can be recycled underneath New Court.  

Jesus Lane / King Street:

Your recycling facilities are provided by the council, so see their website for details.

Be careful to put the correct things in the bin, as the council may refuse to collect the waste otherwise.

Ethical Plans:

I am currently looking into the following to try to make college more environmentally friendly:

  • Better advertising of recycling facilities.
  • Recycling facilities in more gyp rooms!
  • Fairtrade status for Christ's
