The Jasmine Ball Auditions

1st March in Z Basement

The May Ball Committee is pleased to announce that the first round of entertainment auditions will be held on Saturday 1st March, from 11am to 6pm. They will take place in Z Basement (rooms Z1 and Z2) in Christ's College.

Due to the large number of enquiries we have already had, auditions will be by appointment only. Because we anticipate large numbers of acts auditioning, we would like to recommend that each audition lasts 10 minutes. We will also allow 5 minutes between each audition for discussion
with the performers and between the Ents Officers.

If you cannot make 1st March, please do not worry. We will be arranging a second date for auditions a little later on. This was originally planned for Saturday 8th March but it is currently uncertain whether this second date is possible.

If you would like to audition for the ball, please email pah54@cam.ac.uk and srb52@cam.ac.uk with a BRIEF description of your act.

We are particularly looking for:

* solo performers, especially acoustic guitarists/singers
* jugglers, sword-swallowers and all other short-show wanderers

Please also note that Christ's May Ball operates an 'open' policy for auditions. This means that other acts who are due to audition or have already auditioned, or other students at Christ's, may also be in the room watching you. If any undue noise is created they will be asked to leave, but please do not expect perfect silence - this simulates the nature of a May Ball quite well.

There is a very high demand for audition slots so do not delay if you would like to have the chance to play at The Jasmine Ball.
